I am picking up a rifle this weekend that has one on it. Pretty sure it's the BTR 8-34x56. Anyone have one and if so what do you think of it? I am getting into beginning long range target shooting at some point.

Thanks Doug...read it just now. Sounds like they are ok for starting out. Hope this one is as good as the 6-24 in the test.

These scopes punch way above what you'd expect for the price

Got the package yesterday...must say I am thoroughly impressed with the glass, clarity and I expect the reach to be great. To qualify I had a Midas TAC on my 224 and was not as impressed as I am with this one. Don't know if it's my old eyes or what but the Midas wasn't for me. I first saw the Argos at a show in Mesquite a few years ago and the clarity was unreal for the price. Glad this one is in MIL as I need to learn the system. The learning curve will no doubt include a trip out to Fireman JG's course at some point. By the time that rolls around, I should know the basics. Thanks for the responses Doug!
