Why would the GVWR on my ford f150 say 7350lbs when the certified weight stations says it 4893lbs? Im fighting my company who wants us to do the DOT license.

The GVWR includes the payload capacity and is basically what the truck's components can handle according to the factory.

This. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating = vehicle + payload.

"The gross vehicle weight rating, or gross vehicle mass is the maximum operating weight/mass of a vehicle as specified by the manufacturer including the vehicle's chassis, body, engine, engine fluids, fuel, accessories, driver, passengers and cargo but excluding that of any trailers. The term is used for motor vehicles and trains."

Your truck as it sat on the scale weighed 4,893 lbs. With a max GVWR of 7,350, you can put up to 2,457 lbs of people, and cargo in the truck and not exceed the GVWR. Is it a single cab truck? 2,475 lbs is quite a bit of payload for a 1/2 ton.

What do you mean by the "DOT license" ?

GVWR is a rating not a actual weight. It's not really a issue with a half ton but you need a CDL if you have a combined GVWR over 26k. You can have a totally empty truck and trailer but if the combined GVWR is over 26k you need a cdl.
