My AC did actually crap out yesterday. The compressor was smoking, (she said) im assuming bad bearings. The bad news is I’m in south Texas on an axis hunt and she didn’t know until she got in last night from work and it was 90 in the house. The Queen is not happy.

I was on the other side of that, my wife was on a girls trip with our daughter to Spain, when the refrigerator went out. I had to buy a new refrigerator with zero input from the wife, talk about sweating, I pulled it off. I'm sure your wife can handle it.

I replaced one of my HVAC units last week for $5600. After my wife signed for it we looked at each other and both said Merry Christmas.

There went my hopes of upgrading my truck to a Power Wagon!

Yeah... The big difference there is that you were not sitting in a 90 degree house.
Had that happen while on a business trip last summer. I am just glad they had it up and running with in 8 hours. If not, I would have had to extend my trip until wifey cooled down.

I had both of my home units and one at my business go south last year,

but they all had lasted almost 20 years.

My a/c went out a couple weeks ago...paid a guy $400 to get it going. 2 days later it froze up so he comes back and charges me $1700 more to replace coil etc.... today it crapped out again. That Guy won't be coming back here, we got in a fight about it. Today big outfit said $2k to fix or $10k to replace, just spent $2100, this is starting to add up after my worst business month of the year so far to boot. Have a temporary unit in the master bdrm until tomorrow sometime when I have a friend of a friend who says he can fix it. We will see. Good thing mama is a God loving woman...I'd be in trouble!

Sucks.

Mine went out Friday morning. Have a service contract. Its a Trane that was installed over 7 years ago. Capacitor was all swollen up. They were there within an hour and replaced it for $255 with a 5yr warranty Just glad it didn't happen last week when we were at the lease..

Capacitor is the first thing I check now. Locke supply is 2 miles up the road. If a capacitor does not look right, $15-$20 bucks and 30 minutes later I am back up and running. I had a guy show me that and charged me $100 for the trip and $25 for the part. He even said you are never going to call us again for this kind of thing again. He was right.

Then error codes with Google search/ error code on the unit.

Then I call my service guy who walks me through basic trouble shooting.

Then he comes if it is not fixed.

Got a good 30-06 reasonably priced?

Well what’s the verdict?

So...another $1000 today. That's over 3k in repairs on a 14yr old system....next time it all gets replaced I suppose. I am in the wrong business.

So sorry about the a/c.

What kind of guns are you selling? Any 25.06's, hand gun's, or shotguns?
