Saw it on the news this morning. I'll paraphrase. We are in the middle of a major chicken sandwich war. The two heavy hitters in this war have been Chick-fil-A, which has sold its iconic chicken sandwich since 1964, and Popeyes, which introduced a remarkably popular spicy chicken sandwich of its own last month.

Yesterday, fast-food giant McDonald's decided it was time to introduce its own spicy chicken sandwich--hoping to steal some of the thunder from its archrivals Chick-fil-A and Popeyes.

On September 11th, McDonald's will start selling its new Spicy BBQ Chicken Sandwich in restaurants nationwide.

Mechanically processed white meat filet? Easy to chew I guess but I like whole full breasts. Guess if I was starving but will probably will try it if kids want something from there and crunched for time. Chick Fil A is next door so hard to cheat on them.

Never had decent chicken from McDonalds, they should stick to breakfast and close during lunch and dinner.

Their buttermilk chicken sandwich isn't bad. New CFA and Popeyes opening within a block this week. I don't do fast food burgers but Cracker does.

It’s kinda amazing no one has tried to reproduce the chic Fila sandwich. Don’t they see the lines.

Clean and order is alway good. But the McDonald’s by my house is clean.

Ever since a assisted with an accident, where an 18 wheeler full of chicken slurry dumped over in the summer, I've lost the desire for processed chicken.

On the way home we had a Sonic Philly Cheesesteak sandwich at Cisco. Served on a hotdog bun, it was OUTSTANING. The bun was fresh baked, the meat was seasoned just right, and had a plenty of cheese.

No clown food for me, period.

Well, since I said I would try human meat I guess I'm obliged to say I would try this sandwich.

I had one of those this evening after church. Wasn't the best Philly I've ever had but it wasn't bad.

Depends on the bread, fresh and from the right bakery makes a big difference, if on a day old bun, the quality starts to go down hill.

Popeyes sammich came out earlier this year, McDonald’s tried copying CFA sammich a few years back. Loyal to CFA but Popeyes has an amazing chicken sammich.

I'm ecstatic about the new CFA. Dogs didn't mind it a bit.

I’m afraid to go by Popeyes and they be sold out.

CFA is the best chicken sandwich, period.
