Beaver can be fun and challenging to hunt. Go get them! After I shot the lil dude, I had to get the kayak and wait 30 min for the dude to float back up.

Got me curious now been googling beavertail. If you can filter through the canadian donut stuff apparently beaver tail is delicious. Now i wanna try it.

I started trapping them last year and really enjoy it. Didn't take long before I started getting nuisance calls from all over north Texas. I didn't realize how big of a problem they were to people. They are also good eating. I throw em in the crock pot and they taste like beef. I don't eat the tails, they're just all fat.

Learn something new all the time on here. Beaver in a crock pot. Hmm. Probably pretty common to stew them up back in the day. Just another thing we migrated away from. Thanks for sharing.
