Looks like an XL, pretty nice camper up
The 8V71s that I have had issues with were in Eagle model 10s.

They say those Eagles were good riding machines. The 8V71's not so much. Unless turboed, down on power. My Prevost rides pretty good for a 28 year old Antique. [Linked Image]

The 71’s are one of the crappiest built engines I have ever had the pleasure of working on. The little things most people take for granted when rebuilding them make most of them real turds. Detroit hit a home run with their 60 Series when they brought it out. It alone was able to replace a vast amount of those old two strokes and was better in every aspect. I retrofitted several B-70 Euclids with them, and they replaced the 12v71. The only application I still like the old two strokes is on pulling machines, they rev up fast and can get those blocks to the crown in a hurry.
