I think it’s fitting for a Mossberg.

I hope it functions better than a Mossberg 30-30 I had when a teenager. I had it 3 years and replaced 4 broke extractors a firing pin and got rid of it right after it went click on a nice 10pt buck at less than 20 yards. That gun was nothing but the net failure waiting to happen
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

Like when someone tells stories of Savage ejectors and extractors, or Vortex optics.

Built a great pumpgun for a great price and now everybody that is gonna get one has one or buys another cheap at a pawn shop. So they turned to cheap gimmicks to keep making money. Huge fan of mossberg pump guns but you wouldn't catch me with a mossberg levergun ever.

Like when someone tells stories of Savage ejectors and extractors, or Vortex optics. I believe you 100% about Savage ejectors and Vortex optics. I just don't think it applies to the vast majority of hunters that never, ever shoot in a competition, and probably shoot a box of shells a year through a given rifle (if that). People who will never have to worry whether they need to rebarrel a gun. They are still good rifles and O.K. Scopes- definitely a step above tasco, UTG, and centerpoint. And for sure, even the Savage Axis, does not belong in the same category as a Mossberg levergun!

I'm not saying you will or won't have a problem, but there's a video of a gun-rag guy testing a new bolt Savage, and it fails to feed twice on the first mag. It's the only Savage video I've watched and it happened, I didn't go looking for it (I was researching that model). Please tell me how something like that wouldn't affect everybody.

It's a sample of 1 rifle and there's probably one like it of many different rifles. I'm not gonna let you drag me into an argument for or against Savage. The satisfied Savage shooters far outnumber those who were disappointed by themz
