Near by me is a shooting range that has skeet shooting areas, it's really cheap to enter the range and the have a good price on clay but I need a partner. Any idea where to find one?

Hank, I apologize for a few of the "regulars" on here, they don't do a very good job of welcoming new members to the THF. Not sure what part of Houston you're in but The American Shooting Center, Carter Country, always have a ton of clay shooters. There are a ton of clay shooters in your area, you shouldn't have much trouble finding a foursome on the skeet field.

Come on, even you ole crotchety bassturd laughed at that one....If you didn't you're losing it.
I couldn't resist and bumped his thread to the top (doing it again) with hopes that one of the Houston guys would see it. Someone down there should take him up on it. Another idea, post in the migratory section and call it a duck warm up...I bet you could find someone to go with ya.

I've been to American and most of the time on the trap and skeet ranges it's dead. Maybe on the weekends I'll find more people.

I don't know what part of Houston that you are located, but American Shooting Centers in west Houston has a clean well kept range. I find myself often shooting alone there. The traps have a setting that incorporates a 2 second delay before the target is thrown, so being alone is not an issue for me.

It's been a long time since I've done trap and skeet. They had these ones that were Manuel like you had to have someone pull a handle on them last time I was there and they required a second person I thought was quite some time ago I never went back because I can't get anyone to go with me.

Ask at the club if there are any leagues you can join. Ask if there is a group of old f...ts that meet and shoot together for fun. Ask the club if the have ClayDelay releases or if you can buy one and wire it to match their machines. All else fails, you have a spouse, friend, street urchin... you can use?
