Looks like a MGA, about 1959 or '60.

The picture was taken in June 1963, Venice Ca Shelby shop.
It is a late 1962 ( last days of 10/62 or 11/62 or 12/62 AC build date) or early 1963 AC Cobra MK1, AC Ace body & chassis, Ford 260ci.
Earlier build dates had smaller front bumper uprights


Hard to believe you could buy one for $6,000

Carroll Shelby's personal / the original AC cobra ( #1) sold for $13.75 million.
