I run a 1-6 Vortex. Decent scope at a decent price. I like being able to dial down for close up and 6x gives me enough to shoot a distance.

For AR hunting, any scope you would run on a bolt gun will work on an AR as well. I run a Vortex Diamondback HP 4-12X on my 6-223 and a Diamondback 3-10X on my 6.8SPC.

I have the Nikon P-223 which is designed for the AR style rifle. It's crystal clear, affordable, and easy to see through.

Another vote for the P-223. Nice Optic.

The vortex viper line is really good for the money. I wouldn't run one on my primary deer gun, but that is what is on my AR. In my opinion, they are just as good if not better than leupold.

Depends on how far out you are when you are shooting. I started out with a Bushnell AR Optics, Drop Zone BDC Reticle Riflescope. Nice scope for sitting in a stand or shooting out past 50 yards. Problem is, I like to spot and stalk to get in close or ride up on them fairly frequently (of course they scatter). It was hard to get them in the scope when they took off at close range.
I switched to a Sightmark Ultra Shot Multi Red & Green Plus Reflex Sight. Cheap but I love it. Just look past the scope with both eyes open and fire when the dot is where you want it.
