On opening weekend, I rush to a spot at the far edge of the lease and start shooting non stop like a maniac for a couple minutes right at legal. To see all them cars racing to my direction, I leave and pick up their spot which is a much better one 30 min after legal.

It always works.

Years ago when Ray Roberts first opened, I was fishing the flooded timber just off the submerged railroad tracks out of buck creek. Anyone who bass fished in the day knows where I am talking about. There were always lots of bass boats around those tracks. I told my buddy "watch this". I started flailing my fishing rod in the water and yelling at the top of my lungs "I got another big one!" "Oh look at the size of that Lunker!" "What is that our 10th one!" "Get the net again!" "IT'S HUGE!". Several boats from the RR channel started filtering through the trees in our direction. We had a good laugh. Then we moved out and had the RR channel all to ourselves for a while.

Another vote for shade and being still
Also make sure you're not wearing anything that shines or bright colors lol
Last year my wife just had to have the bright pink muddy girl camo shotgun I tried to tell her but she wouldn't listen. It worked out for me though as all the birds veared over to me. I think she "caught" 1 bird last year. Lol
