The Dems have figured out the Dayton shooter had a shorty upper on a gun with a brace. I predict that will be one of their new attacks. ATF Technology Branch can flush that combo in an instant.

Really surprised it hasn’t happened yet. I only have one and built it specifically with the SBA3 because the ATF stated that the overall length was measured with the brace fully extended which put a 10.5” barrel over 26” which means you could run a vertical grip on the gun because it’s not considered a pistol anymore. They came out about 3 weeks after I built the rifle to state that the measurement is from the back of the buffer tube. They can change their mind anytime they want. It’s going to piss off a lot of people, but at this point it’s literally not worth it to SBR a rifle with braces that are adjustable just like a stock.

I agree with KRoyal, I’ve been about not doing a brace since it’s grey area. I enjoy having a legal SBR, it was a matter of time before the grey turned black.

I got lucky and sold my bump stocks before the ban went into effect. Im not going to risk spending that money on a short upper and brace when they can make them illegal just by saying so. If they do, they will again do mandatory turn in with no compensation.
