Yep, that would be a big one. They certainly get that large and just bit larger. I believe the State Record (for a gator bagged) is around 14'-3", but no doubt..live one's exist larger than that.

They can live as long as humans....so plenty of time to grow, whether you subscribe to the idea that they continue to grow throughout their lives or follow 'determinant growth patterns'. I believe the latter is true.

Regardless, what great photos of them in their natural habitat.

My family loves that place. It is about 30 minutes from the house so we go when the weather is nice and walk the trails. Coolest thing was one day we happened upon a large gator with a deer in his mouth. Looked like he had just caught it too.
