If you hunt in Texas on private land you probably hunt some out of box blind. And if so, you may be familiar with those little sand bags that sit on the window edge. I decided to cobble a few scrap boards together to make a rest for checking zero or letting a novice shoot from the bench like it will be in the blind. I've found it handy....FWIW
