A buddy asked me to post these and ask if anyone can tell anything about the maker of this knife. Looks like a duck on the side and at the base of one blade its warn but what I can see in LING Steel, I think it may be Solingen Steel. He is just hoping to find out maker and age. Thanks\

Hard to say. Most likely made in Solingen, Germany (world famous for cutlery and bladesmithing)

As for the manufacturer....the 'duck' could denote that (I.E. Hen & Rooster) or might simply be an embellishment on the scales of some other manufacturer. Many have come and gone.
