Got a $1000 gift certificate when we bought the new Tracker 175, and we are in Dallas to use it up at Bass Pro. I guess I spent 4 hours shopping today. Tough job. Still have more work to do. Got me some real high dollar sunglasses. Might not catch many fish, but I’ll sure look good trying.

Some young Marines (way younger than me) were there collecting for amputee vets. 5811 MOS, like I was (you get extra points if you know what that MOS is). I’m not sure I looked that good in my dress blues. Sure was good to talk with them. Lord, it was almost 50 years ago when they shaved my head at MCRD San Diego (and deducted 75 cents from my pay). I warned those guys that over the decades those dress blues will shrink. Must be a fabric flaw...

I was Army but it was almost 46 years ago that I got my head shaved. My daughter is also Army but in a related MOS to yours 311A. The Marine equivalent is 5821.

USAF 64-68. Granddaughter just joined the Navy. Not a bad idea for a young person who really doesn’t know what kind of career they want. BTW, she just graduated from High School.

It would take more than some high dollar sunglasses to make me look good.

My wife did tell me today that they looked great. Then she asked “how much did you spend”? That was awkward.

My Active duty MOS was 52D. In the reserves I held 62B, 73C, and D, and finally 74F.
