"The proposed changes would open up about 27,100 acres at Laguna Atascosa and nearly 6,000 acres at the Lower RGV Refuge, in addition to the sections of the parks that already are open to hunting.

Reportedly, the proposal seeks to make the land available for this hunting season."

Meh.They'll probably turn it over to TPWD to "manage". Then TPWD will issue 2 permits and have 10,000 applicants,like the other WMA's in s.Texas they "manage".
