Y’all think a couple of mojo dove decoys would scare off these lil bastages? I have 100’s if them lately at an apartment property in Arlington.

I finally got rid of mine with a pole brush and a water hose.

Not sure, they are extremely annoying and persistent.

This website has different options, and if you call they can give you some good info.

I haven’t found any actual nests yet. It’s a 4 story property that surrounds a pool. They swoop down all day long and if you look up to the patios, they’ll be 20 wide, sitting on the railing, rooflines etc. just watching me.

Little creepers

Sounds like they had a good teacher rofl

I don't think the mojo's will work...find a hawk or owl they don't like.

I hate them but gave up. I let them nest for the part of the year they nest and when they vacate I hose them down and the rebuild in the spring.

I got a fake owl that is the size of a real one. Put it on a beam under my carport. No more birds of any kind.

Have a recessed area on front porch. ( all along front porch, with a recess of about six inches before it goes out to the eve. ) Had trouble for years with them. Tried everything, no luck, just had to keep knocking new nests down and cleaning up there mess. About three years ago, painted that indented area a dark red sort of to match the brick on the house, always heard they don’t like dark colors. Well , since then, no nest building on front porch. They still try on the security lights but on back side, but watch and knock them down ASAP. Just my 2cents

My BiL painted his porch ceiling a sky blue. Says the various mud nesting birds think it’s the open sky and don’t build nests. Gotta say, it seems to work.

A fellow I know has a more aggressive approach.

We did that to an old place we had out of Fredericksburg. Old timers trick. It worked.

Swallows eat lots of mosquitoes, let them eat. On the other hand people go all out to put houses up for Purple Martins and they really don't eat many mosquitoes.

The blue paint idea is a new one for me. Y’all keep in mind, I basically have 90-100 porches to contend with here that are on the pool side, where they like to hang out. I’ve seen owls, plastic strips with monofilament streamers, sound machines, chemicals. I really thought they were purple martins which only seem to have one bird they don’t care for, but since have learned they’re swallows, cousins of Judd. roflmao

I will say this, come to think of it, I’ve never noticed any mosquitos so y’all are right on that account.

Thanks for all the ideas err’body. I promised to have a solution for this investor soon. If the sky blue works, why not huh?

This year I sprayed any place they like to nest and anyplace they like to land with a mixture of white vinegar and a teaspoon of dawn soap. No birds in two months.
