I’ve had Covert Camera’s about 5 years and had good luck with them. I’ve been using the Energizer Lithium batteries that last about 3x longer than good Alkaline. I think the Energizers are 1.5V in AA, I found some others on Amazon that are Durnergy 3.6V. Has anybody tried these in cameras? I hope it doesn’t Jack anything up! Thanks!

You cannot substitute 3.6 volt batteries for 1.5 volt batteries. It will absolutely jack things up!

They will fry the electronics.

Why not an external solar battery pack? I am running one on a Spypoint Link and it has never left 100% charge

Covert has a very good solar charger that is flexible. Run them on four cameras with no issues.

Im using 12v garden tractor battery, small panel and the covert converter cable. Lithiums got too expensive.

Get the covert solar panel with rechargeable batteries. I also run this setup on 4 cameras and leave them out year round without having to touch them unless a firmware update comes out.

We buy generic 6v solar panel, but a 6v in a box, and use the covert cable. Been doing that for many years on multiple coverts without issues
