I was just curious to know who is having problems with auodads or cattle or other animals physically beating up your feeders?

The Llano lease I was on for over 20 years normally only ran younger cattle. Then, one year he put a couple dozen older cows on there. They promptly found every feeder we had and knocked them over. After fixing them, I kept a wrist-rocket with me during bow season along with a handfull of rocks. Zinging those cows a few times soon taught them not to come around my feeders. The other guys laughed at me until they tried it. By the end of hunting season, the cows stayed away from our feeders.
The next year the LO was back with the younger stuff and we never had a problem with cattle again.

Now, hogs, on the other hand...

Pay it forward - Kids are the future.

Rifles are similar to boats and young women...there's no end to how much money you can pour into them without making them any more useful.

After replacing some fencing between my neighbor's place and mine, cattle don't bother the feeders on my property anymore. Have had one knocked over and a motor broken off another.

On other properties, this...

Hmmm, excellent idea! I don't run feeders anymore but do feed the pond fish and sometimes the cows are around the ponds or come around when I don't want them there. At 67 it hurts to throw rocks and am not a good rock "shot" anymore so a slingshot or such would encourage them to leave sooner. Will check 'em out at Academy tomorrow.
