I Almost don’t even care to cook in an oven anymore. Cooked some pizza tonight on the kamado joe and it makes even a prepared pizza from sams club good. Picked up some ribeyes for tomorrow on the grill to.

Used my fathers day gift card to get a cart table for the grill and a cast iron grate as well. Just about to start putting it together.

Looks good. Ceramic coolers are awesome, I have enjoyed mine since 2007.

I don’t know why I waited so long but they really are sweet. The flavor they put into pretty much anything is what gets me. I want to buy a small one to be able to take it camping or anywhere we go.

What fuel do you use when cooking pizza? How does the KJ compare to the BGE? I've heard a bunch about these ceramic cookers but don't know how they work?? Can you grill, smoke, charcoal etc.? I have an old Oklahoma Joe's smoker, plus a gas grill and a charcoal grill. Can these replace all 3?

I enjoy the pizza fresh off the BGE as well but not a huge fan of the leftovers, it’s way to Smokey for me.

Yes, you can smoke at 225 for 12-16 hours on one load of charcoal, you can sear steaks at 800+ degrees, or anything in between. I have the BGE and it's great. Sold off all my other grills and smokers when I got mine years ago.

You use lump charcoal for everything. You can add wood to get the exact smoke flavoring you want.

What he said. The kamado joe is the same as the big green egg. Very few difference. I prefer the kamado for the air lift hinge and red color.

Do it. Well worth the investment. I am already wanting a second one.
