Ive been a Cabelas Black card holder forever. Right now I have a little over $200 in points. BUT, there is nothing there I want. I would rather have CASH but NOT a gift card, travel, etc

I checked into it and most "cash" cards have all sorts of "kickers" on them.

I charge $3,000 - $6,000 a month depending on what I buy. Then pay it off.

anyway, I'm looking for an alternative cash card too.

I have all my utilities and creature comfort bills on auto-pay with my master card. They only come to around $500 per month. I simply would not change all them for cash back.

Someone pointed out on another thread that my master card was out of date . Most companies still use it. I simply don't have the energy to call all them.

Use to use a Cabelas card. Now have a MasterCard through our credit union, 2% cash back on all purchases. I have the rewards to deposit into a savings account.

I have a Citi 2% cash back. Well, it was 2%. @ some point, it went down to 1%. I have fantastic credit & it's @ 18.74% interest. I was paying it off each month but now I don't use it anymore.

Been with Citi for 13 years. I've never felt the need for true cash back. I just take my "thank you points" and soend them on Amazon around xmas time or just apply the amount to my bill. I made the choice years ago to put everything I can on it and pay it off before it accrued int. I accrue around $5-700 a year in points because of that.

Discover is the way to go - my card gets 5% cash back and is also the lowest interest rate out there. Instead of getting cash back, we use the points toward gifts for Christmas.

We looked at discover. From my understanding the discover is not 5% CB on everything, it is pretty limited is capped at a certain amount, and changes from time to time.

Does everyone take Discover now, I remember there being a time where not all places took Discover?

They reported on Fox Business that credit cards were now allowing user names.

We have several but our main one is a MC and we gain points for every dollar spent. We usually save those point to cover our airfare and hotel costs for our mission trip to the PNW each year.

They sent me an offer to come back since I had paid off and cancelled my Discover account years ago. I called and talked to an agent and accepted the card offer.

Our local credit union offers a 2% cash back card with no foreign transaction or annual fee. It is tough to beat. I am not sure where you are but RBFCU is the one down here. Citi has a double cash card that is similar.

They run that almost same promo where you get like 75,000 points on the $95 card and the first year is waived if you spend like 2 to 3k the first few months. Pretty good deal
