Got this in an Email from PVA. I have not watched the entire Power Point. Maybe it will help us understand the 2014 Obama, McCain, Sanders Community Choice Care Act better and then the new MISSION ACT changes that went into effect 6-6-2019. I can email you the PowerPoint documents mentioned below if you send me a PM. Good luck. Trump plans phone call about VA Mission Act with 10,000 veterans next week WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump will address 10,000 veterans by phone next week about a new law that aims to expand veterans’ access to private-sector doctors. Trump and Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert Wilkie are inviting veterans to join a 15-minute conference call at 11:45 a.m. Eastern time Tuesday. A description of the call said it would focus on the passage of the VA Mission Act last year “and the milestones accomplished during this time.” https://www.stripes.com/trump-plans...-with-10-000-veterans-next-week-1.587053Military vets now have urgent care access through VA LinkVeteran Community Care: Urgent Care https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jk-eg4N29w0

Follow up to Urgent Care Use Eligibility To be eligible for urgent care, Veterans must: Be enrolled in the VA health care system AND Have received care through VA from either a VA or community provider within the past 24 months To check eligibility, Veterans can contact their local VA medical facility by phone or in person. Veterans do not need to get prior authorization from VA to visit an urgent care provider in VA’s contracted network. VA Facility Locator https://vaurgentcarelocator.triwest.com/Locator/CareWhen a Veteran walks into an urgent care location, either the Veteran or the urgent care location can dial into an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system to check the Veteran’s eligibility for urgent care. The TriWest IVR system is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 833-4VETNOW (833-483-8669)
