Yes. I've had vertigo attacks sporadically the past 5 years. It'll freak a person out. Feel's like the world is spinning off of it's axis, and there's nothing you can do to stop it. Mine have gotten better. Holistic jewelry and a power balance bracelet have made a difference.

My youngest had it for about a month, it was driving him crazy. He didn't drive at the time, but walking was a challenge when it was really bad. Never did find a source and it just stopped one day.

I've had two quick small spells, it sucks. It pretty much made me sick to my stomach instantly. Had to sit down, no depth perception, and world was off tilt.

I have had it for weeks , The Epley maneuver ( see youtube) has helped. Not sleeping flat on my right side helps.

The Epley helps the stuff in your inner ear get back to right place.

My wife has had vertigo spells or the last 20 years. They aren't as frequent as they were in the past but still flare up from time to time.
This is what causes hers.

Meniere's disease is an inner ear disease that typically affects one ear. This disease can cause pressure or pain in the ear, severe cases of dizziness or vertigo, hearing loss and a ringing or roaring noise, also known as tinnitus.

There isn't a known cure for it, it's just treated with a bunch of meds!

I woke up with my first bout with Vertigo about 5 weeks ago. The whole room was spinning, but I needed to let the dogs out. Finally managed to get down the hall and to the back door by using the wall for support. Let the dogs out and then I crashed. Knocked out the window pane next to the door and fell into the chair which hit the table and knocked the lamp onto the floor. Pretty much stayed in the recliner all day. Thankfully it was pretty much gone by the next day. Scary as hell at first.

Vertigo as a result of complications from an inner ear surgical procedure. Lost inner fluid on the left side. Walking, standing or sitting was out of the question. Severe and constant vomiting. Treatment was heavy sedation on your back. About 3-4 days you are out no recollection. I do remember discharge leaving the hospital with a nurse assistant and bouncing off the walls when I said I could walk. I never did recover my full balance but your body will compensate. Standing with your eyes closed is a challenge unless any part of your body is touching something solid. It’s no big deal. May be coincidence but I have never been motion sick since the recovery.

Feel your pain. Got on BP meds and it helps a lot. Plus some vitamins - still have some balance problems but much better. Did you have tunnel vision as well?

Just wait until you cannot walk at night because you cannot see the ground... I have had vertigo for about 14 years. Blew my inner ear out on a plane ride from LA to the ATL. I cannot go down stairs or escalators.

That only works if your vertigo is caused by the inner ear. Mine was my BP meds. Two years of inner ear treatment was zero help to me.

Check all your meds for side effects related to dizziness. Stop taking them and/or switch to a kinder med.

I took Flomax for awhile. It made me dizzy.

This worked for me. Had to do it a few times over a couple days.
