Just 2 years ago we noticed this small 3 pointer that had it's tongue hanging from it's mouth. We decided to take it out so it wouldn't starve to death. Well, it dissapeared, we thought it might have died. Well, with the season over and the bucks dropping their antlers we saw him. He was as healthy as all the rest. He seems to have no trouble eating well this was him last year. [image]http:// [/image]
I DIDN'T VOTE FOR HIM!

I think I would shoot him now and mount him with his tongue out . Nice pictures .

I guess this is more common then I figured! Check out the two pics below. A young man killed this deer last season. The buck had broke his bottem jaw a couple of years earlier. To tell you the truth, I laughed so hard while taking these pictures of him that I spooked him off. It was damn comical seeing a buck with his tongue hanging out 6" like a dog! High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

We have one on our place near Paint Rock like that. We named him Carl. He was a 12pt last year. His horns fell off in late december. He would score about 95 B&C. He is not the healthiest deer in the herd. He may need to go this year.

it happens... they get damage to their tongue and it hangs out like that... though they have full use of it... out of their mouth is the new resting position... 2 years after this picture the deer was taken... and scored 187... Probably would have been a 200 if not for the post rut condition he constantly found himself in.

Shouldnt we be using "mentally challenged" instead of the R word?
