I have had good luck so far with the 44 mag. Just put it in the ear of hogs and they dont take a step.

Well yeah. People get the same result with a .22 cal GAMO air rifle when they put it in the ear. Its the location, not the caliber.

Never shot a pig with it, but my 44 mag Super Redhawk was my go-to deer gun for years.

Have put several whitetail in the freezer with my T/C Encore .44 mag pistol. Cor-Bon and Double Tap ammo in 240 grain both shoot great and absolutely sledgehammer deer. Congrats on the new weapon!

Congrats on a fine pistol

I have an older 629 S&W PC 7 1/2 inch hunter package that is amazing. After getting it I sold the TC Contender 44 Mag barrel I had hunted with for years. 6 shot groups from the bench average 1.25 to 1.5 inches at 100 yards with several different choices of ammo. I have a 2-6 Bausch&Lomb handgun scope on it in QD rings, works great.

Get a good shoulder holster for it and carry will become much easier.

I'm going to give the Ruger 44 Blackhawk a try from my bow stands this weekend on a pig.

Took a Deer with my 30/30 TC this year. 1st one with it. I think I am gonna retire my long guns for a while. Between my crossbow and the TC, hunt is a BIG TIME challenge again!!!!!

That is a good looking gun . Didn't know they made a 3.75" barreled Bisley. Bet it is fun to shoot.

When I bush hog during the day, I carry a 357 with snake shot. When I mow at night, in the dark, I carry a Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 mag with a 12 inch barrel for hogs. I've only shot a few hogs with it while mowing because I don't shoot unless I think it's an easy shot. For whatever reason, they pretty much ignore me when I'm on the tractor and it's dark outside. One time I drove right through the middle of about 30 of them. They just sort of parted as I passed them, and then after I shot the big boar, only the ones on that side of the tractor ran off. The others just ignored me and the shot, but instead of shooting another one, I paused and they had walked out of range by the time I realized that they where still there, and then they where gone when I turned the tractor around. I also have coyotes follow me at night just at the edge of my lights. It's too far for a shot with open sights, but tempting!!!

Looks like a nice hog leg and a whole lotta fun!

Been too long since ive shot mine. I dug out some brass a few months ago prepped it to load so I could shoot it some more and never got around to it. Going to have to get back on that. Mine's a plain jane Ruger Blackhawk 45 colt.
