I own 587Ranch.com We are also going to be doing guided catfishing and alligator gar trips on the Nueces River near George West. The house is on the river about 6 miles below the 59 bridge. Lodging will be included and we will use my boat that's down there. It's an 18.5' Bass Tracker. We also catch white bass and crappie off our "dock". The dock is an old pontoon boat. And we usually catch talapia in nets while catching bait. Should be able to fill someones freezer. This is NOT a sit and be lazy trip (unless you want it to be). It's a run lines, catch bait repeat type trip. This will be a call/text me if interested deal. We can make any deal work. It will be this month of May only for now. See these threads for pictures of my last two personal trips. https://discussions.texasbowhunter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=726219https://discussions.texasbowhunter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=729806Tim 512-848-2240

The river should be rising and be really good fishing for the next 5-15 days or so. Here are a few pictures of the cabin. Guests will have their own private side that's separate from the main. This will be a super cheap fishing trip to get us started. As few or as many days as one wants to fish.

durn, wish my old body could make the trip, would be a hoot. You can relax as much as you want. I can do all of the work. We have guys for this next Wed-Sat... Hopefully we can post here what we're catching and keep everyone up to date!

We have an opening Friday mid day to Sat mid day. Let me know ASAP if interested. All the lines will be set already. Since the question has come up...the boat can take 2 people plus myself. More than 2 can come fish as there's plenty of sleeping space. There's always dock fishing or sitting around the fire pit. And of course will need someone to be cleaning fish

Just got back from a fishing trip with Tim and his brother Jason. We had a really good time. These guys know the river and how to fish it. We caught blue, channel, and flathead catfish. We also had some really big gar. If your not afraid of work associated with running lines this trip is for you. We filled the freezer with good eating size catfish!!

Good to meet you Luis and Ronnie. You guys worked hard and deserved those big fish you caught. We're still fishing - slow right after you left but picking back up. Will update with lots of pictures late Monday.
FYI - not running anymore trips this year but will run them March - April 2020.

Jason and I got there on Tuesday. We managed to get some lines out with cut buffalo and fresh cut shad. Water was flowing good and looked perfect. We didn't try too hard as we were just trying to get lines out and get ready for Luis and Ronnie coming in Wednesday to fish. In the morning we had on a few catfish (nothing big just all eater size that we threw back) and one HUGE gar. It was 6'3" long with a 29" girth. I was wild guessing 160-180 pounds. We rebaited the lines hoping when the guys showed up and we did the evening run they would have a few fish on the lines.. I never expect much during the day but they had 12-15 good size catfish on that afternoon..All 2-5 pounders. They started the trip wanting to keep every fish...But that soon changed and they started throwing fish back on day 2 of their 3 day trip Thursday morning they had on this super nice blue cat. They released this one. Plus a mess of smaller fish. They also had this good size gar on one line. So Thursday afternoon they said they really wanted to catch a flathead. They were willing to work for it so we went and threw nets for 3-4 hours trying to get better bait. We managed a few perch and some larger shad to cut up.

We are now listing this house with AirBnB Nueces River HouseWe still plan to guide a few people if interested this spring. If anyone like fishing for white bass and crappie they can simply rent the house for a much cheaper trip and fish off the dock (which a old pontoon boat). Or bring your own boat and troll the river or lake.

Anyone will be able to rent the house and go DIY fishing.

White bass and crappie are biting really good right now...Right off the dock. Cleaning station is right next to the 'dock' with running water.
