We have an abundance of axis and will really need to sell a couple of hunts off the ranch we manage (as usual, we do this every year). I have pictures of the most recent herds of bucks, some hard horned some velvet. We did have a couple of folks interested but their schedules can't seem to include the time for a hunt so I figured I would offer up a couple. We can offer management (32" and below) as well as a couple of VERY big trophy's (above 32" with a couple of toads that no one on the ranch seems to want to take) This isn't a high fence place, it's a working ranch sitting on the river in Kerr County, with a very good population of exotics and a healthy population of summer axis bucks to choose from. We may offer up a place to stay and provide meals but typically staying in a hotel is what we suggest and the price reflects this. Management bucks are $1000-1250 and trophy's are $1500-$2500 for the very large bucks (35" and above)
Please give me a shout if you're interested, 713-542-7094

I am open to a trade for a camper for the ranch, maybe a partial trade plus cash on my end depending on what you have.

I have several pm’s regarding the hunts so to keep this simple, I’m going down the list of people in order and will close this thread when those hunts are filled. I work nights so I just woke up 👍🏻

Misty,

First off I want to thank you again for the whitetail you gave us. We usually only grind the scraps and less desirable cuts into burger, and using the whole deer gave us the best burger we have ever had. Not as good as Axis, but plenty good.

I was hoping to try and get down this spring to maybe shoot another Axis, but life has gotten in the way. Wife had to get dental work, starting to need tires on bot vehicles, and several other expenses just seem to keep coming up. So, I hope you will save me a spot for later in the year. Very much enjoyed hunting with you last year, and we certainly do like the meat.

Please stay in touch and let me know how things are going and when might be a good time to try and get down there.

Take care,
Joe Downing
