First off, thank you for Tpack for the original idea and recipe.

Here is the final product. At least my version.

Egg yolk mix: finely shredded sharp cheddar, whipped cream cheese, splashes of hot red sauce, pepper sauce sauce and Worcestershire, finely chopped bacon and salt/pepper. I smoked the jalapeños whole for 20 or so minutes then cut in half and smoked another 20-30. I wanted them softened but still some crunch. After stuffing I sprinkled with paprika/cumin/coarse salt. They will be served cold. It was a trial and error type recipe.

Try adding horseradish to the yoke mixture.

Horseradish would have been real good. That’s going in my recipe list.

Yep it’s a hit. Neighbor lady makes great deviled eggs. I knew the kids well before they grew up, one day I was enjoying one of Piglet’s Mom’s great deviled eggs with her and her mom. I asked mom what her secret was. She just shrugged. Piglet piped up ‘She puts horseradish in it!’ BAM. Mom actually whacked her in the head. I love Piglet.

For a variation on the deviled egg part, cut back half the mustard and mayo and replacing that amount with a green chili dip for chips. This makes a real good deviled egg, I am sure it will push these jalapeno versions over the limit.
