I have been looking at the Diamondback ARs recently and see that they are pretty inexpensive relative to other AR manufacturers. I am only wanting one for plinking and target shooting for fun. Any advice or experience with this company?

I have one in 6.5 Grendel for my testing. It has functioned and performed fine for me so far.

It appears to me that a DB AR would run around $450? That's expensive when compared to PSA (Palmetto State Armory). I have been buying uppers and lowers from PSA for the last 5 years and have never had an issue. Right now you can get a complete .223 upper with a 16" barrel for about $200 with free shipping and includes the bolt (#507281). Pair that with a complete lower at $130 with free shipping (#7244) and you can have a complete rifle for around $370 "out the door" after a $25 FFL transfer fee and a magazine for $15 +/-. I have built several of their units and never had an issue. You can see the reviews on their web site. I built one of their AR-47s and few months ago and love it!

I have zero experience with their AR's. However I do have experience with their DB380 pistol. Based on that I wouldn't touch their other products.

I hadn't one. Terrible. It was keyholing bullets at 25 yards. I bought it through a wholesaler that guaranteed satisfaction. Returned it.

Their pistols do look like trash and that made me hesitant about their AR’s

But honestly so far, no issues and seems to be a good budget AR

All i can say is, if you keep the trigger squeezed while next round is chambered, keep it pointed down range when you let trigger reset. Seen 2 fire on reset. Both were new and unmodified.
