Big thanks to Chad getting some 300 bergers loaded up for the 33RUM for the 1 mile shoot. We had 3 hits and too much fun. Stretched the 308 out to 1087 and the 6.5CM to 1500. Jason, this is the range in question my buddy wants you come out to and teach his friends to shoot on. We had a small wrestling coaches shoot today. Took a guy who wasnt comfortable at 200 with his 7mm to 650 learning how to use his reticle on his new Nikon black X1000. This is what you call a "Texan Safe Space".

Sounds like too much fun. I'd like to do more stuff like this as I get more free time.

What 308 exactly were you shooting; ammo and/or rifle details? Just curious.

I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

What size target were you shooting? I've got two 24 inch round gongs but I'm thinking about getting a 36 inch square plate for my super long range stuff.

After I got the elevation correct it was all about the wind, shot slightly uphill and over a valley we couldnt measure wind in. Dope was calling for 18.4 mil, ended up using 17.9. I was having to hold over on the elevation since it ran out, and was holding 3.1MIL Lfor coriolis and wind.

Well, you never answered the PM. 1500 yard range? I'm your Huckleberry, I'll travel.

I also require everyone stay for a fire, some meat, cold beer and a place to camp at the end of the day.

Shooting over a valley does make things more challenging, especially further out. Wind becomes more when shooting in elevation, and sometimes you have slight up and down drafts to deal with. I have the same exact issue when shooting at our "Sniper Hill" location at my deer lease. 782 yards across a deep valley. The bullet impact from the wind is always more than the wind I'm getting at the firing location.

I never got an answer back from wade so I couldn't answer it. It's on a family ranch, always place to stay, cook and drink some beers

Figure out some possible dates for all those that will attend, and get back with me. I'll make it work.
