Would love to see some pics of cool man caves, garages, and 4 post lifts if any of y'all have them. Considering putting in a 4 post lift in my house build and would like opinions if anyone has one...

Too embarrassed. Mine is now a junk room. Looking forward to the pictures.

Very cool, Lefty. I like the license plate ceiling and the rolling cabinet system you have. Garage will have 12' ceilings so I made sure there was plenty of room for the lift.

Kool man cave. I have to “share” garage space now with my significant. I have just enough room for my motorcycle. I am not authorized a man cave. I’m jealous.

I dont have many friends as not too many people like me, so i dont have a cave.
But thats fine, less drama.
I dont like to hang untill the wee hours anyway, i like to go to bed early and hunt fresh as much as I can.
I guess thats what makes me old now. bang but I really, really enjoy it.
I’d rather hunt with a friend than slamming silver bullets the night before, but to each there own, as the party is beyond me now, long, long time ago. Tomorrow I’m hitting the slopes, yep, Obama self, but thats ok, I’m gonna have mother nature with me as they predict 5 days of blue skies after 8 inches of snow yesterday banana
I need another CBD shot, as I’m getting depressed. bang

Very nice Mr. Ox. What is the story on the guns you have left?

I recently completed my add-on garage. Have to get my dad's 54 Willy's out to finish the interior.

Added it to a brick home, new brick was close but just different to be different, so I had to keep and clean all brick we tore off where we attached to blend in and went all new stone with some old brick mixed on front and even pulled some brick on the opposite side front and added some stone as well. Really looks nice, though the stone did add some $$ I wasn't planning on.

12 ft ceiling with i-Joist on 2nd floor. Spray foamed the roof and 2nd floor walls. Garage is standard insulation. Attic Lift, 5in concrete floor for the Bendpak 4 post lift. 220 power to the ceiling for lift power (you want 220). Will run air to the celing as well for lift locks. Jackshaft door opener so no door opener gear to limit lifting height. I put garage doors at both ends for light, air movement and easy access to backyard (I'm in a regular neighborhood.

If you're doing a 2nd floor and will have a lift, you really need to think through stair design. I wouldn't give up my dual garage doors, but it did provide some limitations there.

Charlie

This is depressing. I’m loosing my shop and man cave. We had 16 foot ceilings with a 2 post, handiest thing ever, I used it for more that just cars and feel they are abetted investment than a 4 post. My only complaint, and we had a 4,000sqft space, was that a lift of any type takes up a lot of space. When I build my new shop, it won’t have a lift due to its size and not wanting to sacrifice the space.

4 post lift as in car lift?

My next door neighbor has one it the greatest thing in the world in my opinion, but of course when the house was built it was designed to hold a mobile home in the garage.

If I was building a house I would want one

Check out these guys. They have both 2-Post and 4-Post lifts, and they are made right here in Ft Worth.
Two post need a little more clearance, but there is a lot less floor plan disruption.
