I used the flexible pipe like for a french drain. I tied one end to a tree about waist high and let the other capped end drag on the ground for about 4-5 ft.
It's just easy to fill that way. I drilled 5/8 holes in it. Occasionally the hogs tear it up but I just patch it with duck tape.
It works but I don't use it all the time.

I use hog pipes inside my traps as bait. I bought 3' length of 4" PVC at Home Depot. Drill 1/2" holes evenly spaced around the pipe. Cap one end permanently with a 4" cap and put a 4" screw cap on the other. I tether it to the inside of the trap with a steel cable and a swivel connection. Pigs have been pounding on this setup for over three years and the pipes have held up to all kinds of abuse.

Sewer pipe is thinwall - White. Hogs can and will crush them
Schedule 40 pipe is tough - White. Hogs will have a very hard time - if at all - busting it. (my pick)
C900 4" pipe is thickwall - Green. Almost impossible to bust.

I've used the schedule 40 and the hogs have played soccer with it for months. No damage. That's why I switched from the black irrigation pipe--they destroyed it in a few weeks.

You can make it any length you want.
3 foot is good. Glue one end, drill the holes, then get a 3/16 tow chain, drill through holes in the cap and pipe (line drill) and run the chain through them. You may have to take a die grinder or any other tool/method and either grind the OD of the pipe or ID of the cap so it won't be so hard to remove. Make sure fasten the chain so that the cap can't come off and tie it to a tree or stump.
That's just one way. Like others have said - you can tie it up vertically so that they can root it around the tree trunk.
I don't think I'd go over 6 foot long. But I've never tried it. Might work. The ones I have are 3 and 4 foot long.

Can someone post a pic of the pipe and maybe a pic of how you have it setup?

Here is a sketch I made awhile back. I don't know if you can see it clearly enough, but that's all I have right now. After running the chain through the glued end of the cap, make sure you attach a swivel somewhere in the line. You can fasten it to a tree, stump, or t-post.

Do you set it up on end, lay it on the ground, or suspend it?

i think they have it tied to a chain an the hogs roll the pvc pipe around and around on the ground trying to get every drop of corn out of there

Dang--this shouldn't be this complicated! I use a 3' tube, constructed pretty much like Big Orn's (thanx for the drawing, Bro), fill it with corn, drop it on the ground inside the trap, and chain it to the side. I've got trailcam pics showing a small sounder kicking it around for hours.

These also work good for deer feeders.

Fill it up.
If you want the tube to just dribble the corn out, drill a 1/2" dia hole. It wouldn't work as well, but at least they'll get a kernel every now and then.

They will move on if not getting any corn out.Drill the holes and it will keep them coming.Had one empty in two days and pictures of around 20 hogs.

Yeah, that's right. Look at the way they avoid feeders once the corn is gone. The 5/8" hole is as small as I'll go. They still have to work for their supper.

Only if in the recent past they have had one that fed them corn. They are not the brightest animal on the block but if they play with the pipe for a little bit and there is no corn they will move on.
Deer are the same way, they will play with the pipe as long as they get corn and then move on. Another method is to use 2 liter soda pop bottles with the lid off. The problem with the plastic bottles is they are hard to tie onto so they don't become trash.
