Trying to save my H4350 for my 6.5 Creed. Thinking about using RL 26, what would be comparable to 43.2 H4350 in RL 26? Trying to figure a good starting point for the RL 26.

What bullet? RL26 isn't real close to H4350 though.

R26 wouldn’t be a powder for the 6.5 CM. It’s too slow. It’s in the burn rate around R25 and H1000.

I picked up some H4350 at Academy Weatherford Wed. They had quite a bit I believe.

Edit: That RL 26 will shoot good in your .22 creed.

Works great in the 6.5CM with 147 ELDM's.

RL 26 is very hard to find, let me know if you find any, I need a couple pounds or 8#

Sorry about the lack of info. I'm looking to see where to start RL 26 for my 22 creedmoor. Want to save the H4350 for the 6.5cm. I'am using 43.2 g of H4350 in the 22cm at this time. This is with a 75gr Amax

Where 'm at the RL 26 is stocked and H4350 is hard to find.

You can get pretty much get any powder to “work”. Let me rephrase. R26 is a slow burning powder, and you would have to run a heavily compressed load. You most likely will not be able to get your speeds up as high as a more adequate burn rate powder. It’s not a powder I would select.

look at the 90 grains with your RL-26

46.9g RL26 in a 20" CTR gets me 2700fps avg for 20 shot string. It is very mildly compressed at 2.890 OAL I'm surprised to hear you say what you say. The forums are full of guys who love the RL26/147ELDM combo.

Daggum, that's a bunch of powder in a 6.5 Creedmoor case!

With the bullet skooched way out there, very little compression. I really like to try and seat bullets with the base resting in the case near the bottom of the neck, and powder charge topped out at about the same place if possible.

I agree with the bullet location. I set them .002" to .005" shy of the lands. Let that be what it be, and check that it fits in the mag.

I also like the powder column up in the shoulder, if possible. I've never ran a burn rate that slow in 6.5 Creedmoor, so I've never gone to the length of finding how much it'll hold.

In the 22Creedmoor with 75Gr Bullets and Reloder 26 I would say 44.0 start and you can work up a little from there.
I can say 45.5 is a hot load and some guns and brass can handle it but some cannot go there.

I like RL-26 in the 22-243 and like DStroud said it works well in the 22 Creedmoor, those are a little more overbore than the 6.5 Creedmoor so slower powder works well in them especially with heavier for caliber bullets
