What trail cameras are ya'll using out there that you'd recommend? Needing to pick a couple up for the upcoming season and figured I'd ask for your input. I don't need the fancy wifi or cell cameras, just the basic cameras that'll take good quality pictures/videos for a decent price.

I use Browning but am in the market for a new brand. The Browning is not very sensitive and I feel like it misses pictures. That being said I have used it for two years with no issues other than not being very sensitive. Makes it to where I don't get any wind pictures.

Do yourself a favor. Go to a Walmart and pick up a couple of the Tasco 8 MP game cams! They are around $28 and so far, work as well as my Browning's for day pic's, and night pic's are more than acceptable! Your welcome!

Deersteaks idea isn't a bad one. I have owned cameras from several companies. Every company makes some crappy units and every company seems to make some good ones. The trick is finding the right model. The problem with getting people's insights is that chances are, many of the cameras people have that have worked well for them (1-2+ years) aren't produced anymore. So you are generally going to get either brand name suggestions (which really aren't all that helpful) or outdated suggestions. You can spend a lot of money on cameras that fail. So if you don't need magazine cover outstanding 12 or 15 megapixel images, don't pay for the premium cameras. You could buy 2-3 of Deersteaks' suggested units and get very serviceable images. LOL, I still remember when 4 megapixel images were cutting edge and considered great stuff. Otherwise, cut excellent reviews on capabilities, I suggest you go here... https://www.trailcampro.com/collections/trail-camera-reviews

Like you said, I'm not looking for magazine cover quality and I don't need them sent to my phone instantly, just need something so that I know what's coming around. I'll give that site a look and go from there.

Battery life on the Tasco's are excellent! I have several on a Brackettville lease and after 3 months and over 1800 pics, I was still reading over half on my battery life!

Just make sure it has a time set on it. I have some cheap ones that take a pic every time a pig wiggles it's tail.

In my cameras I use Energizer lithium batteries. They are more expensive but last quite a long time and do not seem to be terribly impacted by cold weather.
For cameras, I have been using various Cabelas models. I try to get them when on sale. I am pretty happy with the photo and video quality.
I cannot speak to their long term durability and reliability as I usually get less than 2 year of life out of them. Bears either crunch them like a jawbreaker or gnaw the led bulbs off.
I should head to Walmart and see about picking up some of those Tasco cameras.

Here's a couple shots from my 3 year old Primos Camera. You decide if you like their quality..1 set of energizer AA's lasts about 6 months.

Browing, I have 9 of them going How is the battery life seem to be? I'll give them a look as well, thanks for the input. It all depends on how may picks or videos it may take and the quality of pics that you set camera on. As an example for me, when set on video, batteries last about 6 months. On pics, batteries last about a year. These are Strike Force and Command Opps that I have.
