This group just showed up today, they made it to the big mountains. This will make six so far not counting Curly Bill, Ringo and Ike. Pretty foggy the higher up the hill they got.
Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

Couple of questions, any idea where they migrated from? Do they only hang out in the rougher hills near the cap?

Couple of questions, any idea where they migrated from? Do they only hang out in the rougher hills near the cap? These most likely came from the Palo Duro Canyon stocking back in the early 50's, they've followed the rims of the Llano Estacado. I've seen them in other parts of the ranch but it's pretty rare, the ewes are lambing up on the rims and the rams are just hanging around until it's time to breed again, tend to like the high ground.. They stocked Palo Duro Canyon and Big Bend around the same time.
