Headed to Angel Fire this week. What are some must see places or must eat places in the area? Or along the way from north Texas to there? Thanks

Angel Fired Pizza is great. Always tons of elk and other wildlife around the golf course in the morning and evening. Are you going to get to do some fishing while you are there? The drive thru the Cimarron Canyon is some of the best country in the state.

Angel fire has their own brewery. Enchanted circle brewery. I’ve had four different brews. Filled up my growlers after a day on the slopes. Pretty tasty stuff

I second the angel fired pizza suggestion. I’ve always ordered take out/carry out from them because they get pretty busy for dinner, at least during spring break. I’ve eaten it three times and have never been disappointed.

Cimmarron canyon is scenic, however , they had a pretty hot fire go thru sometime between my trips thru in March and December 2018 that charred a lot of the landscape coming into the canyon.

Enjoy the trip

If he drives the loop, he'll go through RR.

I forgot to mention the fish hatchery north of Taos. Im not sure if its open in the winter, but its pretty cool. Although, it seems to be a little run down the last time i went. Its not far from the Rio Grand Gorge bridge. Also not far from the Taos Casino!
