Picked up a 19 week old pup this weekend. Always had Brittanys so thinking about training - looking in the DFW area. Would love any recommendations, especially if they have experience with Chessies. Thanks!

Lots of options, but these two I've personally met and trained with. They both have experience with Chessies. Has the pup been with the breeder all of this time?

Thanks Huck! I'll check them out. And yes, he has been with the breeder (who is also a hunter/outfitter). But he has got started a little because of that. I have video of him going into the water and retrieving a throw and a real duck, so he has a good start. I'm just getting to know him and trying to continue that.

That's good. These early months are very important for the pups development. You want to expose him to as many people and places as you can (in a positive way of course) to build up their confidence and get them socialized.

Good luck.
