First impression, as bad as it sounds, this may be as at peace as it can get. On the water with the fog thick as soup, temp in the mid 60s. I can’t see the waves rolling in but they’re loud enough to eliminate conversation. I will see how it is when the sun rises and the fog clears but this already beats anything San Antonio offered earlier this week. Then again I’m anti social, this beats bumbling crowds any day. Maybe it’s just the whiskey I was afraid to drink while watching, or the fact you couldn’t buy a bottle of water there without walking several blocks. I know I’m from the country but come on, I just wanted water, which you couldn’t buy unless it was charged to your room, which was on a company cc. So alas they couldn’t/wouldn’t sell me water. Ok, maybe I’m pissy about the hotel and it doesn’t have anything to do with San Antonio. They also, even at the hotel, don’t do 5am. Obviously I could go on but why. I’m at peace here. Looking into a black ocean, having a drink, and having my 45 at hand.

This stuff almost sounds depressing. All I’m saying is country doesn’t really need to go to town.

Lol, that was reason for the last sentence. It sounded depressing but not depressed at all. Just suppose I’m not a fan of people.

Gulf Coast in the winter. Love me some of that. Go Down to San Luis pass several times a year in the camper and just sit and watch the world go by. Be glad when they get Goose Island on the Bay front repaired as it's just as nice, maybe better.

Are you sure your company won't buy water? We have a space on our expense report called employee health and welfare, I list $1 & $2 on it all the time and in the comment space put water. Never been kicked back.

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

It wasn’t my work it was hers. The hotel wanted to use the card the room was tied to. That card was for room and parking only. Everything else is separate. They do cover it but the hotel wouldn’t let me pay cash or use a card.

Had to check my webcam. Man back in the day, had a place up Grindstone canyon, Wifey and I used to ski every weekend. Good times.

Life is what you make of it......the wife and I are having a great time in downtown San Antonio. Anytime we are together no matter what, or where, we have a good time. Perception Creates Your Reality, stay positive.

Nice big sow! I haven’t been for a while myself. South Padre is my go to place.
