We also did the bike rides, it was about 8 miles to the Dyess AFB pool so we rode our bikes there. One grandmother lived about 6 miles away, the other about 75 miles away. The last one took a full day of hard riding, but had relatives in Winters and Ballinger to stop at.

I have family all over that part of the country too. Know any Demere's, Linthicum's or Herring's?

I recognize the Herring's name at Miles, started first grade with one of them, but no clue as to the his first name.

Flys and Grounders. You quoted the rules correctly. 3 flys or nine grounders or an equivalent combination.
