Are hogs good to eat all year long or is there certain times of the year you dont want to shoot them to eat?

At this time of year , if I shoot a hog , and gut it immediately and put some bags of ice in the cavity , how long do you think I have to get it to the locker / processor with out it going bad ?

I would recomend as soon as you shoot it. Gut it skin it keep what you want backstrap hams shoulders whatever you want. And put them on ice asap in a cooler and you will be fine. I mean you have some time but the sooner you do the better off you will be.
