 5 Year Old Pointer Needs Home

Sadly, after conversations with my vet and a specialist, we’ve come to the conclusion that retiring my 5 year old pointer is probably best. He has an Achilles injury, which would require surgery or PRP and shockwave treatmeant, neither guaranteeing his return to the field, but a possibility.
So I’m looking for a retirement home for him. Someone who loves the breed and dogs, he’s a great dog and is in our house daily. Great with kids and other dogs. Fully papered and has even won his NSTRA Amateur Championship. He’s healthy and fine, especially for a non-hunting home, but if hunted he would need to be monitored. If somebody really wanted to try and fix the Achilles and hunt him, that’s certainly a possibility. He’s a fully finished and broke dog.
