Anyone had any experience (good or bad) turkey hunting in Milam County? Not looking for spots, just reports of whether or not there are birds?

Thanks in advance and happy hunting!

I've been deer hunting out there and have never seen any birds come to the feeder. Not saying there are none in the county, but the little patch I've gotten to hunt, I've seen 0.

Maybe someone else will chime in and paint a different picture.

I've hunted in Milam county for 7 years now. The turkey population is not great where Im at but they are in the area.
The last two years havent been good, The two previous year i called in several Toms . We just south of 487 off 486 maybe a mile or so. Ive been told theresca pretty decent population towards Davilla.
