Go Casey!

Sure he did, but its not all about Phil.
If one player in the group decides not to play, they have to stop. Phil knows that, but keeps on shaking his head and walked away from casey to 17 tee like a lil girl.

Casey is playing for his $ & points plus doing a solid for his am partner. Phil is an alpha so I understand why you don't get going for it.

Completely agree. Too much on the line for Casey and his Am partner.

Phil telling Mark Russell he could see just fine....no one else could.

He knows the longer you stay, the greater chance you have of falling off into the ocean. Even Frankie predicts it.

Phil is 48

Can u imagine him playing on the champions in 2 yrs?
He would win every week. But knowing him, he will try to stick with the pga as long as possible.

He was playing well, I don't blame him for not wanting to stop.

It’s over. Phil won.

He said he thanked Casey this morning for making the decision to suspend play yesterday and said it was the right decision.

It wasnt the case yesterday. But since the media was all over him, he had to change his story.
But good for him he won. And good for casey to par nr 16 and birdy 18 to end up solo second.
Solo second pays a lot too

Second: $820,000
Third: $560,000

It's laughable to think that Phil cares what the media thinks.

You're right Beave, Phil was concerned by the media coverage and scrutiny. I played a prominent PGA player's caddie in a club tournament about 6-7 years ago and he shared with us that Phil was maybe the biggest d*&^% on tour, hands down. Said his public persona was a lot like the Don Johnson character in Tin Cup. Off the course, complete d*&^%.

Nobody leading a tournament with two holes to play wants to wait until the next day to finish. It only benefited Casey. I don’t even like Phil and I’m defending him on this. I would’ve felt the same way. He said Casey made the right decision and I believe him, but in the moment, I would’ve felt the exact same way.

Casey and his amateur partner were leading that part of the match and did not want to blow that in the dark. If I were Phil and playing the way he was yesterday I would have wanted to finish it as well. Sometimes it is hard to play good after a very good day on the course and we know Pil has had some blowup holes in the past.

He is far and away the best senior tour player. Seems like he wins every week.

True Beave, maybe the best, most consistent golf accomplishment out there, winning consistently beyond the dreaded, 60yo age barrier. Irwin won into his late 50s but not so much in his 60s, maybe once or twice. Langer is the first in modern day era to win consistently into his 60s. The coup de tat would have been Watson having won the British Open back on the verge of his 60th B-day a few years ago vs Stewart Cink....

Just wait till he and Tiger start playing on the Champions tour. Drag in John Daly and David Duval and you could have the whole band back together.

Thanks,
Rich

Jerry kelly, jim furyk, my buddy brandt jobe from flower mound, my buddy ken duke, phil, and thats about it...
Oh, langer to beat them all at age 61...i think langer won 112 times...hall of famer. Imagine langer was American.
Jim furyk will do well on champions in 22 months.

But again, knowing phils massive ego, he would play pga and champions at the same time, and he should.
Off the course, mister beloved phil is a real a$$

It showed yesterday again, shaking his head, all pizzed off, to yet say casey made the right call the next day, cause twitter was blowing off

Whathever

He should know better, he been there 16 times before at dark.
Stick by the rules phil, your group says no, there is no arguing.
Phils driver to be 48 was truly amazing though, not accurate, but long, blowing 22 yr olds by 25 yards

Phil had 59 professional wins, Langer 112, most on European tour and Champions. To me, Langer is top 3 best golfer like in ever.
