Was messing around the safe and decided to fondle my ponies.

Lower left- original colt trooper in 22lr, first gun I ever shot, dad helped me hold it when I was 4 or 5, after shooting at a bucket we went and looked at the lines the bullets made as they skimmed the dirt around it because I missed, burned in my memory forever.

Middle - colt rail gun in 22lr, stamped as a colt but actually made by walther under license from colt. Shoots amazing, absolutely love it.

Upper right - recent acquisition, actually from THF to be precise. It's a Franken colt, colt govt slide with NM barrel/bushing and various other aftermarket frills, built on a federal ord. Frame. have yet to shoot this one, its slick and tight for a 1911, I'm hoping it will run good.

Let's see yours!

That new service looks like a prototype for the trooper

Haven't taken the time to send the grip frame off to have a set of grips made for this one.

Bought new by my grandfather in 57’. He carried it every day in the lettuce fields of Salinas Ca.
Even shot a man with it who ran off with the payroll taken from his truck.

For several years I have been looking for a nice early walnut-handled SAA 1873. At last year’s Tulsa Gun Show I found one.

Deal me into this game, please...

I'll open with a 70s vintage Detective Special. Getting a bit blue-worn from carry, but sporting a new set of Herrett's stocks.

[Linked Image]

Here's something a bit different. Back in the 80s I had a 4" Python that had gotten out of time. Sent it to Fred Sadowski's 300 Gunsmith Service for tuning and a 5" slab-sided bull barrel. Great belt gun with as smooth an action as I've ever handled. Slick as butter in July.

My laser. This 8" Python will keep the 100 yard swinger dancing...

[Linked Image]

Lastly, my BBQ gun. A 70s vintage Gold Cup that I shot 'til everything rattled and carried 'til most of the finish was gone. This was back when IPSC still remembered what the "P" stood for. Decided to resurrect it and sent it to Frank Glenn in AZ for retrofitting and then on to Turnbull for CCH. Mammoth ivory stocks. They may have to bury this one with me.
