Savage has been quietly making some excellent rifles for a long time. I never realized it until I bought one. The lines and workmanship in my Axis XP II clearly exceed that of much more expensive rifles. The same goes for accuracy.

Too bad hunters continue to be distracted by those chasing after trendy guns and calibers.
