I assume you mean a springer since you can use a normal scope that has focus down to 10m will work for a PCP unit. Do not use anything other than designated air rifle scopes as the internal motion in a powerful springer is two-way, unlike the recoil of a standard rifle which is one-way. I'll make three suggestions. At the low end, the 4x Beeman branded scopes have mediocre glass, but have a reputation for being nearly bullet-proof. You can probably pick one up on eBay or GB for $25-30. I've used both fixed and 3-9 BSA air gun scopes. The glass is quite clear considering the price. One scope broke, but the other two are still going; I don't regret the purchase. Finally, Hawke seems to have the upper tier of the springer air gun market in their pocket; but I've been too cheap to step up to them.

A lotta guys swear by Hawke on springers. Hawke is a great brand for airgun because they offer great reticles specifically for airguns and they build a quality scope.

UTG is popular on springers. Springers break scopes, period. A broken UTG doesn't set you back much, and the glass is fine for inside typical airgun ranges. Plus UTG last longer than many high dollar brands on springers, but they all break eventually.

I see scopes as disposable items on springers so I used to go with UTG or something similarly priced that will get me through.

Now, I only shoot springers with open sights.
