Have any of you used the grinder attachment for the Kitchenade mixer? It look like it would work pretty good for grinding deer meat. Has good reviews on amazon. had the opportunity to take a couple of does at an MLD ranch and was thinking about getting one of these and grinding my own hamburger / chili meat. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004SGFH/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

Don’t get the Kitchenade brand, it’s plastic. Get another mfg metal one.

I thought the same thing but the stainless ones have chitty reviews compared to the plastic one. I will only be doing 20 pounds or so.

For 20lbs you’ll be fine, just be careful and go slow. We have one but I only use it for small small amounts of meat. However if you think you’ll want to grind more in the future buy a bigger one so you’ll have it. Places have grinders on sale right now.

It’s best to use an old mixer with metal gears too.

I have a friend that owns that and says it works well. However, he also has recommended doing small batches (couple of pounds) at a time. I think Herbie has it right-just go slow and don't overload it, and cut your stuff into small pieces before feeding. Your spending time to save money-nothing wrong with that, just decide which currency is more valuable to you.
