Yup. I work for a small company, we get a paper check every 2 weeks no direct deposit.

Every two weeks beats the snot out of twice per month.

Absolutely, but the ones writing the checks would know the ones they're writing the checks to thus fulfilling Oxner's "...know of someone who receives pay checks...". The check writers would answer yes to the question.

Surely I'm missing the usefulness of this thread. Maybe there's hidden meaning that went over my head.

My wife hasn't gotten a paper check in her working career, direct deposit only.

Yep, I took it to mean how many receive paper check and how many direct deposit. I have not received a paper paycheck since 1999. Also worked 3 years for a company that only paid once a month. That was not a lot of fun and took budgeting - not hard, but had to pay attention to expenses.

If I wasn’t getting a pay check, I would not show up to work...lol

I’ve been getting direct deposit for over 15 years

We have guys at work who get a check with one hour on it and direct deposit the rest because they cant remember their log in name and password to keep up with their vacation and other leave time.

Direct deposit for the last 11 years. Before that, I did get a check that I had to deposit at the bank. Direct deposit is much better.

I used to do payrolls for several companies, they all handed out paper checks, I know that some of them still do it. They are small business that will not change until one of the kids takes over.

Nope, I hate this every two weeks. I can’t plan my payments accordingly, I was able to set payments on autopay now I have to call them in. Extra work for me but it’s whatever at this point.

I just have the dept. fill my ebt card every week.

Direct deposit for years. Not an option. Hourly gets paid every week. Salaried every two weeks. I have no clue as to why the difference.
