For a hunting air rifle, 1" 5 shot groups ctc at 25 yards is pretty much the standard for accuracy. 1" groups with the pellets you are using is pretty decent. I would not hesitate to use that combination for cottontails or grey squirrels out to 30 yards or so.
You can definitely close those groups up quite a bit with a little bit of pellet experimentation. I would try some JSB 15.9 or 18.13 grain domes, and maybe some H&N FTT's or Barracuda Match.
You might also tighten up the groups by cleaning the paint overspray out of the muzzle. For the life of me I can't figure out why they cant just plug the muzzle to paint it. But out of three 392's and 1 397 I have had in the last 8 years or so, they all needed paint cleaned out of the muzzle to shoot their best.
Use acetone and q tips, careful not to drip any down the bore or it can eat the seals. Anywhere the acetone touches, the paint is coming off. Until you are trying to get that last stingy bit out of the muzzle.
With the right ammo, a clean muzzle, and practice some of thise guns will hold 1-1.5" groups at 50 yards on a calm day. Wind blows them all over the place and the trajectory is pretty loopy at that range. I would keep the hunting inside 30 yards regardless, just for that.

No problem. I'd check out gatewaytoairguns.org, great resource for airgun info.

If your 392 is like mine it has a terrible trigger which is probably a chief contributor to accuracy (or lack thereof). I haven't tried it myself but I've seen videos on the web for doing trigger work on them - some of which is probably beyond my skills. I haven't tried it myself but this looks like a decent route to a better trigger: https://www.airgunsofarizona.com/blog/2009/03/installing-benjamin-supersear.html

I ordered a sampler pack of H&N pellets off Amazon so I can try a few of their offerings on a budget Haendler & Natermann (PY-P-981) Hunting Sampler, 5 Different Airgun Pellets .22 Caliber / Assorted Grains (155 Count) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007C3W8W6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_De3uCbRMAKGSF

I have seen a few of the trigger job options, I wouldn't mind polishing this one up a bit, just need to find the time
